One of the hardest things about being a mother is the feeling of not being good enough. We often feel deficient, like we are messing up and that we are messing our children up.
We worry about everything.
Are the kids excelling in school?
Do I give them too many chicken nuggets?
Are they watching too much tv?
The house being a mess.
The never ending laundry.
Are my kids going to grow into kind, caring, awesome adults or have I ruined them forever?
The reality is though, our kids don't care about any of this nor do they even notice. Why? Because kids truly and honestly only want one thing from us - our love and they feel the most loved when we give them our undivided attention.
The kids don't care if the house is messy. The kids don't care about gluten-free, sugar-free food. They care about you spending quality time with them. Like phone-free, tv-free, distraction-free time.
That's what they truly want from us.
And the great part is, by giving our undivided attention to them, we are helping them turn into amazing adults. Seems simple right? That's because it is!
Moms naturally worry and stress about everything BUT I want you to take a step back, leave the dishes and laundry, put your phone down and give your undivided attention to the kiddos.
They'll love it & those are the things they will remember.
And ultimately, your kids think you're amazing. You're more than good enough. You're their superhero. You're their mama!
And that in itself is your superpower.
